streaming tonight!!! Catch it if you can, he just played some of the tapes that got returned to him recently from 69-70. It was an excerpt from a Nov 69 Dark Star, incredible, spicy, spooky stuff.

Someone on dead.net described it:

"Dave played a tape that hasn't been heard in 40 years during the interview...sounds like Caution...into NFA...into Lovelight...amazing reveal...great Pigpen rap...
He is playing the unheard Dark Star from 11-69 now.
Just now playing an uncirculated 5-4-79 Sbd. Brent's 3rd show from Hampton...Estimated Prophet...nice climax!
5-3 not in the vault...now playing 5-12 from Amherst...previously uncirculated...Terrapin -> Playin'...
Final clip 4-25-77 from Passaic end of Wharf Rat...
Jumping into some 1989 video now...Playing in the Band from Giants Stadium 7-10-89 and Throwing Stones from RFK 7-13-89...maybe some video on the horizon? He also mentions some video from HJK in '85 where Bobby climbs up the scaffolding during Sugar Mags a la Bono..."

The Caution>NFA>Lovelight must be from the new stash of tapes. There are no known shows where they're all in that order, but it would certainly be from that late '69/'70 timeframe. The NFA would probably place it in late December '69, at the earliest, since they didn't play it before then.
And it's revealing that he said the Dark Star is from November '69. As far as I know, we had no lost shows from that month (and only one or two from December '69), so these are completely unknown shows!

The dead.net witness seems to have gotten some details wrong; Lemieux played selections that were released on DP6. This is from Lemieux's new Jambands interview:

Q: Speaking of unreleased, when you were at the Rock Hall you played some unreleased stuff.

LEMIEUX: Right. Well, we released a couple of ‘em. We played a little bit from Fillmore Auditorium 12/21/69. I played that really spacey sequence from “Dark Star.” That was released (Dave’s Picks Volume 6) and then I played that sequence of “Lovelight into “Not Fade Away” back into “Lovelight” in St. Louis on 2/2/70 (also packaged on Dave’s Picks Volume 6). So, those have been released.

I think I also played some May 1979 material from Brent Mydland’s third and fourth concerts. No plans to release those. You know, the problem with some of those shows is we don’t have complete shows from...actually of a few of them. Hampton on 5/4/79 we don’t have a complete show. We’ve got a good chunk, but not a complete show. We’ve got Easton, Pennsylvania. We’ve got the end of the first set and the end of the second set but we don’t have the rest of that show. What else is there? Amherst, Massachusetts, I think we’re missing a few songs on 5/12/79.
So, no specific plans to release that material...there was a great “Estimated Prophet” and it sounds good and crisp.

Was pretty funny - he laughed and said they were part of his estate but couldn't go to his daughters so maybe that was the best idea.

Cool. Hopefully we can get him to plug his Monterey show with Jackie Greene on 12/16...
